Harvey & Myla

One of my goals for this year was to photograph my own kids more.
Harvey was born June 10, 2013 and I took these photos when he was exactly 1 month old. Myla’s 3rd Birthday was also coming up in August so I decided to photograph them together. We all know that saying “A picture is worth 1000 words”…..Well I cannot even put into words how much these pictures mean to me. Years from now these images will be the reasonI have tears on my face wondering “Why does it go by so fast?”

I love Myla & Harvey for many different reasons. They fill my life with a happiness I never knew existed, and their little personalities keep me grounded to what life is really about. Seeing them together and watching the love between siblings brings a whole different kind of love into our home.

When Myla comes into the room Harvey’s eye light up. Myla can make him giggle like no one else can. He loves to pretend her curls are a toy and grabs onto them with the biggest smile while she screams for HELP! He loves to jump in his bouncer and watch his sister dance. Sometimes Myla will run over and laugh or sing right in his face, and even though Harvey probably thinks she’s crazy, I know he is grateful for her :)

Myla has become one of my best friends. We spend our days talking and singing together. She likes to snuggle and her imagination has no boundaries or limits. She has become my best little helper and such a good older sister. Hearing her little voice say “Harv… did you have a good dream” ,”You’re such a GOOD BOY”, or “You’re okay, You’re okay” makes my day! And her new thing right now is she likes to pretend she is The Grinch and Harvey is Max hahaha

The session ended with Harvey looking at me like “Whoa mom, enough pictures already…this is lame!” And Myla smirked looking at him as if he hasn’t seen anything yet ;)
